We’re delighted to welcome Mama Dor’s Kitchen to Sydenham Fayre 2019. Mama Dor is one of our many stall holders at this year’s event and in this post, we learn more about her.
Hi, I’m Giz and I run Mama Dor’s Kitchen. I’m really excited to have my first stall at the Sydenham Fayre this year!
About Mama Dor’s Kitchen
For those of you who don’t know what Mama Dor’s is, here’s a brief overview. I’m a new business based in Chinnor, and I make and sell Spice Blends for Indian food.
All my blends are sugar and gluten free and are suitable on a vegan diet. They are all provided in a refillable glass spice jar and come with an easy to follow recipe card (which you can choose to follow or make your own creations!). There are over 15 blends to choose from, ranging from Onion Bhajis to Tandoori Rub to Lamb Biryani. There’s a blend for everyone!
My blends have been created with family and ease of use in mind. So they are all mild and flavourful, and typically can be on the table within an hour using ingredients you already have in your store cupboard.
Special Spice Blends
The blends are all recipes handed down through generations of the Dor kitchen, so the flavours are all authentic and aromatic. Which is why you won’t find a Chicken Tikka Masala on the list! But try out my Gujarati Chicken Masala which is made with yoghurt, not cream, and in my opinion is much more delicious and flavourful. In fact, it’s my six year old’s favourite dish!
The jars range from £5 to £10 each, with each jar containing enough Spice Blend for 12 servings. And when your jar is empty, bring it back to me for a refill, at a lower price.
Looking forward to seeing you at Sydenham Fayre 2019!
